Care & Maintenance
The life and appearance of your shademaker umbrella will be enhanced if you follow a few simple guidelines
1. Hose or rinse the aluminum mast and frame periodically with fresh water. This should be done more frequently if you are in a salty or industrial environment.
2. Lubricate the track and slider car mechanism with WD40 or CRC type lubrication frequently to enhance the ease of operation.
3. You may remove marks from the 100% solution dyed acrylic canvas by washing with clean warm water. Rinse canopy once in a while so dirt does not become engrained.
No soaps, detergents, cleaning fluids or solvents should ever be applied to the fabric.
4. Inspect the installation fitting on a regular basis, and tighten as necessary.
Helpful Hints
Each shademaker is engineered to withstand different levels of wind. Even if your shademaker is rated for moderate to strong winds, the umbrella should be collapsed and the straps secured in uncertain weather conditions. Common sense applies. It is advisable to leave even the strongest shademakers in a secure position when unattended, particularly over a weekend or when on vacation.
